Self Assessment

• Technical Proficiency - This demonstrates how well the applicant employs design creativity in their creations to engage customers.

The Engineers Australia CPEng applicant has to show four kinds of rating they are as follow:

• Developing– This suggests that the applicant is learning and that they may want assistance while working.
• Functional - When an applicant is functional, it indicates that they can work independently of the teacher.
• Proficient– Candidates must be able to work freely without supervision and oversee and train other Engineers.
• Advanced– This indicates that the applicant is ahead of the game and can manage all engineering tasks, make choices, understand related work, and provide directions to others.

The Industry Review

Who can be considered as an Industry Reviewer?

• Industry reviewers are those who are already Chartered members of Engineers Australia or members of the Engineering Team.
• The individual has worked in the engineering sector for more than seven years.

Enroll for Chartered

After receiving a Functional or above rating, applicants can enroll in the chartered program. At this point, applicants must pay the Chartered Engineer Australia fee and submit their CV and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) record.

By this time, the applicant should have completed and submitted their industry review. In addition, the candidate must specify the areas of knowledge they want to pursue chartered status in.
